COMMUNITY INTEGRATION AND SOCIOECONOMIC IMPACT
The direct and indirect influence area of the Chibuto Solar Power Plant Project covers a set of localities situated in the Chibuto district. These are predominantly rural and characterised by living standards based on subsistence agriculture, informal trade and the exploitation of natural resources such as firewood, charcoal, stakes and medicinal plants, which represent complementary sources of income and survival.
The socioeconomic diagnosis carried out within the scope of the Environmental Impact Assessment identified high expectations from local communities regarding the benefits arising from the project's implementation. Key aspirations include access to employment opportunities, improvement of living conditions, reinforcement of basic social infrastructure and, in particular, reliable access to electricity, an element considered essential for the economic and social progress of the region.

Employment in the construction phase:
